I follow behind a journeyman
Hoping to prove my ability
I closely watch his strong, steady hand
Hoping one day my hand too, will be.
While I study at a classroom desk
My mind is burning with swarming thoughts
I want to do my very best
This chance I’m given can not be bought.
At times I may complain to you
This learning experience is my toughest test
Just know that I’m thankful to be within the few
I am the ‘Apprentice’.
